PERSONAL INFORMATION COLLECTION

All personal information collected by Learning Ledgers Foundation is done so exclusively with your consent, by means of a form posted on our website, an email received from you or by telephone. No information is collected automatically.

USE OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

The personal information collected is only used by Learning Ledgers Foundation staff for the purposes defined at the time of the collection or a use that complies with these purposes. We do not share your information with any third parties.

As mentioned above, we use your personal information to appropriately process your requests and present you with the information you need to access. We also use all of the information you provide voluntarily in order to make your visits on our site possible. This information might, at a later time, allow us to add customized elements to our site or to plan its content more appropriately, based on user interests.

If you have granted us the permission to, we can use your personal information in order to send you newsletters or updates, with the intent of offering you the best service possible. You may opt-out/unsubscribe at any time.

At all times, the sender of an email prepared by Learning Ledgers Foundation or its partners is easily identifiable and reachable, via email or phone.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

SHARING OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

We do not sell, communicate or divulge your information to any mailing lists. We can offer to add your address to a Learning Ledgers Foundation mailing list or list server if you request it. PRIVACY OF PERSONAL INFORMATION COLLECTED THROUGH PAPER PETITIONS

Learning Ledgers Foundation is committed to follow best practices related to the protection of personal information collected, used, disclosed, transmitted and preserved as part of the paper petition process. Paper petitioning is offered as an alternative to the use of the Learning Ledgers Foundation website’s online petitions.

The purpose of personal information collected on paper petitions is to ensure the integrity of the petition process. Data may be used for statistical purposes.

The use and provision of false information is prohibited.

Learning Ledgers Foundation does not assume any liability for the petitioner’s or signatories’ personal information on paper petitions before they are sent to the Learning Ledgers Foundation representative for certification.

Once a paper petition has been received by a Learning Ledgers Foundation representative for certification, the personal information of the petitioner and signatories will be subject to the following:

Only Learning Ledgers Foundation authorized personnel will have access to personal information as written on the paper petition, which will not be shared or publicly disclosed.

Once processed by the Learning Ledgers Foundation authorized personnel, paper petitions will be securely stored in the Learning Ledgers Foundation Office for a duration of six months after they are received by that office, after which they will be destroyed by the Learning Ledgers Foundation authorized personnel.

LEGAL PROTECTION

All personal information you supply is protected according to federal privacy and data protection regulations. This means that you are entitled to know when the information is collected and to be informed of the purpose of such collection, but also to access said information. We are legally bound to comply with our published privacy promises and to provide adequate security of personal information.

ACCESS TO AND VIEWING OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION – WHAT RIGHTS YOU HAVE OVER YOUR DATA

You can, at any time, access the personal information we have collected about you, modify it or ask us to delete it. To do so, or if you have any questions or comments regarding this policy, please contact us.

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us.
